Board Recruiting matches directors with boards on the basis of mutual interest, qualifications and availability - putting you in full control of who contacts you. Through specific, user-defined contact preferences, you precisely manage the privacy level that you wish to maintain in the system including your profile searchability, peer-to-peer contacts, as well as your personal criteria of industry, market cap or location for the kinds of companies you wish to contact you.
Boards search for director candidates in the system based on their own board-defined candidate preferences (i.e. market cap, business/board experience, skills, education, training/certification, industry and location criteria). Only directors who have both:
set their preferences to allow contact by that type of board and
who have completed enough of their profile to meet the board's search criteria will be displayed as potential candidates in the board's search results.
Boards are then given the opportunity to send a standardized template message through the Board Recruiting system to those directors they are interested in contacting. The directors will receive this message through the system and can choose to accept or decline the introduction. If a director expresses mutual interest in the board, then both parties are given permission to view each other's contact details. (i.e. name, addresses, email, phone, etc.)
The final step of this process constitutes a "View" as defined in the user agreement. If the director does not express mutual interest in such a board, then both parties' contact details would remain confidential and a "View" would not have occurred.
Additionally, directors can follow this same basic procedure to introduce themselves to boards that they are interested in meeting.
